Vengeance: Battle for Earth
- "You know what, I can walk again! I can walk! I can walk...and I can do so much more."
Gordon Raines, also known by his alter-ego Silverback, is a fictional supervillain created by Justin Wolfe and a major antagonist of Bio-Man 2. His hometown is New Metro City, CA. Gordon was a paraplegic scientist secretly working on a project to give him his legs back. However, a fire broke out in his lab and his decades-long work was destroyed. The intense stress caused him to go insane and his hair to turn gray. During the events of Bio-Man 2, Henry Holton gives Gordon a large mechanized suit shaped vaguely like a gorilla.
The Legacy of Gordon RainesEdit
"Gordon" and "gorilla" both start with "gor-". Gorillas also live in the rainforest (Raines).
Gordon is a 5'6" Caucasian male of about 40 years of age. He has black hair that has been combed back, hazel eyes, and thick-rimmed glasses. He wears a gray labcoat, black slacks, and black dress shoes. He is a paraplegic, meaning he can't walk and he uses a wheelchair. As the Silverback, he has gray hair and he pilots a large 15-foot vaguely-gorilla-shaped mechanical suit.
Gordon, as himself, was a very kind and gentle man. He was amiable and very likable. However, he was also very secretive about his project to regain the use of his legs. After the fire destroyed his research, he went insane and became racked with stress. He became angry at the world for continually cursing him with bad luck his entire life.
Gordon has no real abilities on his own, other than his impressive intellect. His abilities all come from his mechanized suit. The suit is incredibly large and strong, as well as bullet-proof. The suit's fist can punch thrown reinforced steel, and one punch can send Bio-Man flying and kill a normal human. The suit is strong enough to climb vertical surfaces and hang from ceilings, supporting its weight with just one hand. The suit also has homing missiles that can be fired out of its shoulder.
